Dr. Stoner,

Wilson & Company is reaching out because we will be hiring field staff for summer rangeland surveys in New Mexico and Arizona and thought our positions could be a great fit for students in your department. We're looking to fill 8 positions who will work on assessing rangeland health across the Navajo Nation. Everyone involved will get excellent experience conducting rangeland assessments, getting a feel for environmental consulting work, and learning about agricultural issues in the Four Corners region. We're looking for technicians who have prior experience identifying plants, especially rangeland grasses. We'll offer some additional on-the-job training to bring everyone up to speed on region-specific plants. Employment would be for the entire summer and starts at $23/hour, with the potential for higher pay for those with previous experience conducting rangeland studies or botanical backgrounds. We anticipate that our crews will work a 10-day on, 4-day off schedule with per diem, lodging, and travel being covered for all work days. We would appreciate your distributing this information to your students and are available to answer any questions you or they may have. We'll have a job posting up soon (and will send it to you when it's available), but in the meantime, interested students can email resumes or questions to peter.steele at wilsonco.com<mailto:peter.steele at wilsonco.com> and kariann.sokulsky at wilsonco.com<mailto:kariann.sokulsky at wilsonco.com>.

Thanks,

Peter Steele, MA, RPA
