Hello everyone,
As one of the SNRE Clubs, we urgently need to address the spread of an
invasive plant known as Stinknet (Oncosiphon piluliferum), which has made
its way into Pima County over the past four years. The speed at which this
plant is spreading is alarming, and it's essential that we take immediate
action. If you come across Stinknet, please safely remove it if possible,
bag it securely, and dispose of it properly. Remember, each plant has the
potential to produce thousands of seeds, significantly contributing to its
rapid spread.
Furthermore, we ask that you report any sightings of Stinknet to
stinknet.org. This helps our county's land managers monitor and combat the
spread of this invasive species more effectively. For more information on
this plant and advice on what to do if you encounter it, please see the
flyer below.
