Job Description

Under general supervision, supervises, coordinates, and assists with the development and completion of outreach and education projects. Develops and coordinates project plans through full implementation within the Center for Grazinglands and Ranch Management.



Responsibilities:

- Manages the outreach and education program for the Center for Grazinglands and Ranch Management. 

- Works to determine outreach and education needs. Writes grant proposals, reports, and other related materials. Monitors and prepares reports on financial activity for assigned projects.

- Coordinates project activities including project initiation, work plan development, estimating, and project controls.

- Coordinates multiple work streams to ensure cross-project dependencies and impacts are identified and managed. Ensures compliance with applicable regulations. 

- Prepares forecasting and progress reporting against milestones, budgetary updates, and the change management process for review.

- May supervise staff and students.

- Serves as part of an interdisciplinary team developing a nationally recognized outreach and education program that embraces collaborative multidisciplinary and multi-state activities, and effective dissemination of educational outcomes through popular articles and conference presentations.

-Other duties as required.



Required Education and Experience:
-Bachelor’s degree in Rangeland Management, Natural Resource Management, Animal Science, or closely related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Five years of related experience.

Preferred Education and Experience
   
   - Master's of Science in Rangeland Management, Natural Resource Management, Animal Science, or closely related field.
   - Demonstrated use of technology and social media platforms delivering outreach and education outcomes.
   - Demonstrated record of managing collaborative projects.



Required knowledge abilities and skills
   
   - Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
   - Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
   - Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
   - Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
   - Ability to travel



Must be authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
