Contest Prize

The first-place winner will receive their choice of any available Arizona Section SRM merchandise, such as sweatshirt, t-shirt, or hat. The runner up will receive their choice of Arizona Section SRM hat.

But Wait! We also need YOUR VOTE to select a winning photo!

You will be able to view all the photo submissions and cast your vote for your favorite photo starting on September 23, 2020 at the end of the General Membership Meeting. A link to view the photos and cast your vote will be sent by email.

You will only have a limited time to vote - until 1:00 pm on September 25! The Photo Contest Winner will then be announced at 3:00 pm on September 25 during the 2020 Summer Meeting (via Zoom). The winning photo will also be showcased on the new Arizona Section website.

Contest Rules

Photo Entries:

  1.  By entering a photo into this contest, the entrant agrees that photos submitted can be used by the Arizona Section Society for Range Management for its website, newsletter, and other official publications. Any time a photo is used for such purposes, it will be credited to the photographer.
  2.  Photos must belong to (i.e. was originally photographed by) the person who entered it into the contest.
  3.  Photos must be from Arizona, and must relate to Arizona rangelands, including but not limited to: rangeland landscapes, animals, plants, or people.
  4.  Up to ten photo entries per person are allowed.
  5.  There is no fee required to submit a photo.

  1.  A person does not need to be a current member of the Arizona Section Society for Range Management in order to enter the photo contest.

  1.  Submissions will not be accepted after 12:00 pm noon on September 23, 2020 (Arizona Time).

  1.  The Arizona Section Society for Range Management reserves the right to disqualify any photo entry that is deemed inappropriate or does not conform to stated contest rules.

  1.  The contest winner be contacted via the email address used to submit photos.

  1.  The contest winner will be announced on September 25, 2020 at 3:00 pm during the 2020 Summer Meeting.

  1.  The winning photo will also be showcased on the Arizona Section Society for Range Management website.

  1.  The photo that receives the most votes will be considered the first-place winner of this contest. The photographer who submitted the first-place winning photo into this contest will receive their choice of available Arizona Section Society for Range Management merchandise. The photo with the second greatest number of votes will be considered the runner up of this contest. The photographer who submitted the runner-up photo will receive an Arizona Section Society for Range Management hat. In the event of a tie, the photographers who submitted the tied for first-place photos will both have their choice of available Arizona Section Society for Range Management merchandise. Shipping will be paid for by the Arizona Section Society for Range Management if within the United States for all merchandise prizes.
Voting

  1.  Only one vote per person.
  2.  Voters may select only one photo. Arizona Section Society for Range Management reserves the right to disqualify any person’s vote if more than one photo is selected.
  3.  An email address must be provided at the time of voting. Note: email addresses will not be shared with any other person or organization, and email addresses will not be added to any mailing lists. Email addresses will be kept confidential and will only be used to verify that only one vote was submitted per person and that a person meets the voting requirement listed in bullet #4 below.
  4.  Only Arizona Section Society for Range Management current members or 2020 Summer Meeting participants can submit a vote.
  5.  A person may vote for their own photo submission (if they also meet the voting requirements of bullet #4 above).
  6.  The voting period will open on September 23, 2020 and will be announced via email.
  7.  The voting period will close at 1:00 pm on September 25, 2020 (Arizona Time).
