The Tonto National Forest, Cave Creek Ranger District is looking to fill a GS-0454-11 Range Management Specialist, Zone Range Staff, with a Duty Station of the Cave Creek RD in Scottsdale, Arizona.  We are looking for energetic candidates that will help shape this new position as the Forest looks to zone the Cave Creek and Mesa RD (“South Zone”) Range Programs in the coming year.  In the heart of the Sonoran Desert and adjacent to the Phoenix Metropolitan area, the South Zone of the Tonto is a faced-paced and complex work environment.  The range programs offer challenges associated with year-long grazing, watershed and cultural resource protection, T&E species conservation as well as the opportunity to build highly productive partnerships with permittees, stage agencies and conservation organizations.
 
Although the outreach states to reply by August 13th we’re hoping to get a few more responses and draw more interest. Have those interested let Micah Grondin micah.grondin at usda.gov know we can include them when we actually fly the job. We appreciate any help in getting the word out. Thanks!
