Hi Larry--
The folks at Chelsea Green are busy promoting a book I wrote while Sue and I were living in the backwoods of Colorado. They asked if I would help get the word out (see note below). Please let anyone you think might be interested in the book know about it. Thanks much for your help.
Hi Fred,
As we approach the on-sale date for your book, Nov. 28, one thing you could do that would help with promotion would be to send an email out to all your email contacts or compile a targeted list of personal contacts/colleagues. It would be great to send this email in the next week or soin advance of publication and then again on the day of publication. The point of this messaging is to tell people about the book and encourage them to pre-order on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, ChelseaGreen.com, or with their local bookstore. And then on the day of publication, send another email announcing the official launch of the book and encouraging people again to order.
It could be as simple as something like this with the book cover (image attached):
Hello,
I’m excited to tell you about my new book,Nourishment: What Animals Can Teach Us About Rediscovering Our Nutritional Wisdom, out November 28 from Chelsea Green Publishing. [insert brief description of what you want to share about the book here]
See below to read what people are saying about my new book and I hope you’ll consider ordering a copy from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, your local independent bookstore, or wherever you prefer to buy books.
“An absolutely fascinating topic, engagingly written. Provenza will wholly up-end everything you think you know about what you are supposed to eat and why.”
—Nicolette Hahn Niman, author of Defending Beef
“In Nourishment a wise observer of the land and the animals becomes transformed to learn the meaning of life.”
—Temple Grandin, author of Animals in Translation
“In this magnificent book…Provenza weaves together philosophy, nutritional science, memoir, and his humble appreciation for the natural world into an inspiring meditation on our moment on Earth.”
—Courtney White, author of Grass, Soil, Hope
Let me know what you think or if you need help further help crafting the message.
-Christina
