[Srm] Sky Island Brand: Meat packs opportunities are back!

Good afternoon everyone,

I am a PhD student in Ecology, Management and Restoration of Rangelands
with a minor in Animal Sciences. I am working on cattle grazing behavior,
diet selection and meat characteristics with some ranchers (Deb and Dennis
Moroney, 47 Ranch) situated between Tombstone and Bisbee.

They are raising *Raramuri Criollo cattle* and *Navajo Churro sheep *which
are breeds adapted to semi-arid and arid conditions and which were brought
by the Spanish to the Americas, beginning in the 15th century.

Their meat is *all natural*, with *no hormones, no antibiotics,* and *no
grain feeding.* They effectively graze the rangelands and are able to
marble well on native rangeland feed. Contrary to some beliefs about
grassfed meat, their *meat is very tender!*

According to the USDA, the Agricultural Marketing Service and the American
Society for Testing and Materials International tenderness standards, the
meat is define as *“tender” *for a shear force included between* 8.6 et
9.7 pounds/cm²* of pressure and *“very tender” *for a shear force *inferior
to 8.6 pounds/cm²*.
