You are Invited to the SEES *EarthWeek* Trivia Night!!


*Why?* To socialize with fellow SEES students, get ready for EarthWeek
2014, play trivia, and have an all around good time!

*When?* Thursday, February 13th from 6:00-8:00

*Where?* SkyBar; 536 N 4th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85705


Pizza will be provided. Form a team with other members of your department
or join a team once you arrive. Looks forward to seeing everyone there!

*EarthWeek 2014 call for abstracts!!!!!!*
Abstract submission is open until March 2nd for the 5th annual UA School of
Earth & Environmental Science student research conference EarthWeek 2014, April
8-11, 2014.

The theme for EarthWeek 2014 is "Scaling the World". Submit your abstract
*today* to present a poster during the event!

*Important Notes:*

-          Joint Poster Session will occur on Friday April 11th from
12:00-2:00 in the South Ballroom of the Student Union

-          SNRE has graciously offered to pay for poster printing at the
ART Lab. Posters must be printed by Tuesday April 8th

-          There will be prizes awarded to *SNRE students* for the top
graduate AND undergraduate posters: 1st place: $250, 2nd place: $100, and 3
rd place: $50

 Additionally, SNRE will have one graduate student present during the joint
plenary session. This individual will compete against graduate students in
other SEES departments giving a 30 minute talk about their research. If you
know of someone you would like to nominate, or if you would like to
nominate yourself, please send nominations to: snrgrads at gmail.com with
"EarthWeek Plenary Nomination" in the subject line.
