[Risgchairs] Photographer-writer of pastoralist photo-stories

Dear RISG co-chairs,

In the lead-up to the IYRP, you are doubtless planning to document and share pastoralists’ stories in text and visuals (photos, videos etc). A photographer and writer based in New Mexico, Michael Benanav, has contributed some excellent photo-stories to the IYRP website and has expressed an interest to work together with IYRP supporters in further documenting pastoralists’ stories.

If you are interested in collaborating with Michael, please take up contact directly with him, but let also the Global Coordinating Group co-chairs Maryam and igshaan know, as well as Barbara and myself (who handle the IYRP website) so that we can keep an overview of the materials being developed for the IYRP. Besides using the photo-stories in your own events and other awareness-raising activities in your respective regions, the photo-stories could also be posted on your regional pages on the IYRP website.
