Subject: IYRP WSARE Grass-Rangelands Arts-Based Education Project

Hello all,

In 2023 and 2024 many of you participated in planning meetings and processes for an arts-based education and outreach project focused on the 2026 IYRP. We submitted a funding proposal to Western SARE last October, and have been notified it is funded. While MSU (administering institution for WSARE) has notified us the project is funded, we will need to proceed with caution due to continuing uncertainty at USDA-NIFA. That said, we are moving forward (for information please see project webpage: https://extension.wsu.edu/thurston/arts-grasslands-rangelands/<https://url.usb.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/A9MnCKAlPNf8rM0pKcMfVc5K0hk?domain=extension.wsu.edu/>)

WEBINAR SERIES STARTS APRIL 21ST
April marks the beginning of our work, with a WSARE-funded webinar series for IYRP outreach and education. The overall theme of this series through 2025 is arts-based education for grass/rangeland environments and pastoralists. However, the first webinar on 4/21 at 1:00 PM Mountain Time will focus on an overall "How to Get Involved in IYRP Outreach and Education."

We are planning short 1-2 slide updates on different aspects of IYRP related activities. If you would like to give a short update, please email me (Stephen, bramwell at wsu.edu<mailto:bramwell at wsu.edu>), Lauren Svejcar (lauren.svejcar at oregonstate.edu<mailto:lauren.svejcar at oregonstate.edu>), or Diana Crider (diana at animopartnership.org<mailto:diana at animopartnership.org>). All are welcome!

Please circulate an announcement of this webinar on 4/21 and overall series to your grass/rangeland networks. (webinar series flier attached)

Kind regards and we are looking forward to working through this network of partners!
