The three-day, free conference features daily themes:

Day 1, May 24: Water and Agriculture
Day 2, May 25: Land & Natural Environment (including rangeland issues)
Day 3, May 26: Forests & Fire

Day 2 and Day 3 would be particularly interesting for members of the Partnership!

More about the conference<https://ialc.world/conference/addressing-the-environmental-challenges-of-arid-lands>: To commemorate 30 years of collaboration on arid lands issues, the International Arid Lands Consortium (IALC) is hosting a three-day international conference on arid lands.  Convened virtually on 24-26 May 2021, the conference will celebrate IALC collaborative research and demonstration projects and examine current and future challenges in IALC’s regions of focus.  A key goal of the conference is to underscore the value of the IALC mission: promoting peace through collaborative research and demonstration projects in the arid lands of the world.  Keynote presentations and panel discussions will emphasize the broader value of collaborative-multinational research and problem-solving to address issues that confront the sustainable use and management of arid lands globally.
