Dear GASL Stakeholders,

On behalf of the GASL Chair, Shirley Tarawali, we trust this email finds you well.

Kindly mark your calendars from 7 to 11 June 2021 when the 11th GASL Multi-Stakeholder Partnership Meeting Embracing Change and Harnessing Diversity: The Roles of Livestock in Sustainable Food Systems will take place (100 percent virtual). This topic will be addressed based on a series of ten regional consultations that will occur during the month of May.

The draft meeting programme and calendar save-the-dates for the main sessions during the week and the Media Day (9 June) are kindly enclosed.

During the Media Day, participants can choose from a variety of online offers. The majority of the offers are pre-recorded and do not allow an interaction with the participants, some are live, and an interaction is possible.
The media day will be open from 0800 to 1800 h CEST. The live presentations will be from 1400 h to 1600 h CEST.
Although Wednesday 9 June is the day dedicated in the programme to exhibits, they will also be accessible to visitors from Monday 7 to Friday 11 June.
Interested contributors please write to Peter Ballantyne (ballantyne at antenna.nl<mailto:ballantyne at antenna.nl>) and Fritz Schneider (Fritz.schneider at bfh.ch<mailto:Fritz.schneider at bfh.ch>)  and cc. Eduardo.ArceDiaz at fao.org<mailto:Eduardo.ArceDiaz at fao.org> before 25 May 2021 (limited support available to civil society organizations and to NGOs with limited resources).

Additionally, in connection to the goals for the meeting, a panel discussion will be organized on 10 June, 14:00-15:00 CEST, titled Embracing collaboration and synergies to foster livestock sector change. Leaders from the Committee on World Food Security (CFS), the Committee on Agriculture (COAG), the International Feed Industry Federation (IFIF), the Indian NGO Anthra and the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) have been invited.

Registration will open soon at no cost.
