The request below comes from the part of the IYRP Steering Committee that has been working for more than a year on putting together this Gap Analysis related to rangelands and pastoralism.  The timeframe is short, but I hope many of you will be willing to look it over and provide feedback to Kathrine and the group.

Subject: Invitation to review the Gap Analysis

Dear IYRP Steering Committee members,

On behalf of the editorial team, please find attached the second draft report of the Gap Analysis with the working title: “A case of benign neglect – Knowledge gaps about sustainability in rangelands and pastoralism”.

We would like to invite you to review the draft report. We are interested in your feedback on issues that can help improve the quality of the report. Please share comments, questions or concerns you might have about the text, the graphics, the working title of the report, etc.

The final version will include photos, and we are grateful for any suggestions about suitable images that can help illustrate the diversities within rangelands and pastoralism.

Graphics will be further mainstreamed prior to the publication. And more details about the methodology used will be published in a separate Methodology Report.

We have a tight schedule for finalization of the report (and its publication, translation, etc. before UNEA-4) therefore we would be most grateful if you could provide us your comments, advice, and approval within the next couple of weeks (by Thursday 20th September).
