The first #RangeNerd Monday is now posted! This is a social media meme campaign that we hope will promote awareness of Rangelands, show the diversity that exists within Rangelands, and showcase the various tasks and humor of the Rangeland World. Please see the attached PDF to see what this is all about and how you can help.

Here are the links to the Social Media platforms that we posted the meme to.

Subject: Introducing #RangeNerd: A Rangelands Partnership Social Media Campaign

Hey Everybody,

This is Christopher Bernau from the Rangelands Partnership's marketing task force. I'm writing to introduce you all to our new social media campaign. We're calling it #RangeNerd Monday and it will involve a series of rangeland related memes that we will post on the Rangelands Partnership's Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages and possibly a few other social media outlets. We will start this on Monday, June 8th, and continue every Monday until we run out of ideas. The purpose of this campaign is to promote awareness of Rangelands, show the diversity that exists within Rangelands, and showcase the various tasks and humor of the Rangeland World. Attached is a PDF with the details of this campaign, what we hope to accomplish, examples of the memes, and how you can help.

We do need help to make this a successful campaign. The simplest way you can help is to like and share the memes once we post them. A coordinated effort of liking and sharing these memes would go a long way to spread them across the internet. When you share them please remember to use the hashtag #RangeNerd to tie the global conversation together. Also consider tagging the Rangelands Partnership in the post and using the Partnership's hashtag #RangePartners and the Society for Range Management's Hashtag #RespectOnTheRange.

The second way you can help would be for you to make memes for us to post. The details for all this, and a downloadable template, are in the attached PDF. The gist of it is that there are two types of memes we are currently making and would like help making more. The first is called "You know you are a #RangeNerd if" and is a fill-in-the-blank humor based meme, the second is called "We Are Rangelands" and is meant to showcase the diversity and beauty of our rangelands. We currently have enough for the next 8 Mondays, but after that we are out. These can be fun to make and I would love to see what creative ideas are floating out there. Please email finished memes to me at cbernau at cals.arizona.edu<mailto:cbernau at cals.arizona.edu>.

Thank you,
