  1. NOW OPEN: UA Job Shadow Program!

STUDENTS CAN APPLY NOW: UA JOB SHADOW PROGAM!

On October 22, the Job Shadow Program - Winter Break opened for student applications. We have more than 80 opportunities in more than 13 states across the country.

Hosted by Student Engagement & Career Development, the UA 2018 Job Shadow Program (JSP) is a learning experience and an opportunity for students to explore an industry, organization, or job function that they may have an interest in, for one day during Winter Break (December 17-January 8, 2019).

Dependent on the nature of the industry and organization that the student will be visiting, a student’s Job Shadow Day may consist of
· sitting in on meetings
· facility tours
· observation of daily work
· informational interviews
· and maybe even some hands-on experience!

This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for students to gain first-hand exposure to a career field and to be mentored by actual professionals and UA alumni in the industry for a day.

NOTE: The UA Job Shadow Program is not a paid experience and students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the host site.

I’ve attached a flyer to share with students and colleagues, students can always find information on our site<https://career.arizona.edu/jsp>, plus a growing list of opportunities in Handshake<https://arizona.joinhandshake.com/postings?ajax=true&query=&category=JobPostings&page=1&per_page=25&sort_direction=asc%2Cdesc&sort_column=job_name.case_insensitive_sorting%2Capplications_count&followed_only=false&qualified_only=&core_schools_only=false&including_all_facets_in_searches=true&added_institution_labels%5B%5D=222350> right now.

All the opportunities ARE NOW OPEN in Handshake and will remain open to applicants through November 12. Each student can apply for up to FIVE shadows, but each requires a resume and cover letter, so there’s no time to waste! Thank you so much for spreading the word!
