The University of Arizona Campus Arboretum is seeking a few passionate and motivated students for employment or for directed research/academic credit Fall 2018.

The project: Develop, edit and publish content on plant species for public educational program use.

The details:

*         Learn plant ID, botanical classification, characteristics of important native and cultivated plants.

*         Work on your own schedule.

*         Meet with the Director for guidance once per week throughout the semester.


Required qualifications include:

* Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

* Working knowledge of MS Excel and Word applications.

* Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.

* Available for approximately 5-15 hours/week.



Preferred qualifications include:

* Some botany or horticulture experience.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skill.

* Federal Work Study qualified or willingness to enroll in directed research credit.
