CSC 250 - Essential Computing for the Sciences
Programming has become a critical and sought-after skill in both research and industry across all disciplines including business, physical sciences, social sciences, medicine, and engineering. In CSC 250, students will learn the Python programming languages, data processing techniques, and SQL database management. These skills will be applied to create programs that complete useful/everyday tasks, process large data sets, and extract insights from this data. No prior programming experience required!
Units: 4
Lecture: MWF 1-1:50 pm in Phys-Atmos Sci, Rm 224
Lab: Tuesday 3-3:50 pm in Education, Rm 240
An additional lab will open if the first lab fills up (Tuesday 2-2:50 pm).
