The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Peer Assistance for Leadership and Student Success (PALS) peer mentorship program has openings for the Spring 2018 semester! Deadline is January 3, 2018

The CALS PALS Peer Mentor Program
Are you interested in sharing your experiences as a student with new CALS students?
Are you interested in being part of a college-wide leadership group that will allow you to work with students from across CALS?
Very rewarding experience!

Consider joining the CALS PALS Peer Mentor program! CALS PALS Peer Mentors earn 2-3 units of upper division internship units each term and obtain an official UA engagement experience notation on transcript.

Peer Mentor Responsibilities:
* Attend meetings every Tuesday during the semester from 8 - 9 am
* Must be available for program orientation on: Tuesday January 9, 2018 from 9am-4pm
* Complete program requirements to earn 2-3 units of CALS 393/493 (UA engagement experience/internship)
* Serve as a peer mentor to 7-15 student mentees per semester
* Attend all CALS 195A (Spring term) class times for one of the sections throughout each term (details on application<https://goo.gl/forms/i95XvQgmsPsdwaea2>)
* Be knowledgeable of campus resources and help students transition into the University (training provided)
* Provide a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for students to learn
* Maintain confidentiality & record/input student information into database
