EMPLOYMENT NOTIFICATION
Country Club of the Rockies - Vail, Colorado.

TITLE OF POSITION: 2nd Assistant/Assistant In Training.

DUTIES: this is a working position which duties include but not limited to: golf course maintenance, control product and fertilizer applications, irrigation systems repair and service, water management practices, cultural practices, project construction and leadership, equipment maintenance, snow removal, and recordkeeping.

COURSE OPERATION: 18 holes, private membership, 7,300 course yardage, Penn A-4 greens, Penncross tees, Bentgrass/Poa fairways, Kentucky bluegrass near rough, fescue native grasses in extreme rough, Toro Site-Pro irrigation system and new PSI/Flowtronex VFD pump station, state of the art full HDPE irrigation system presently being installed.

SALARY RANGE: $40,000/yr plus bonus.

REQUIREMENTS: minimum 2-year Turfgrass Management Degree with a minimum of 2 years golf course experience, ability to adapt to proven programs presently in place. Must be a highly motivated, enthusiastic team player with great attention to detail. Must possess a positive attitude with strong listening, communication and people skills. Also, must possess a strong work ethic with an understanding of the commitment needed to operate a world-class private golf facility at a very high level. Must be an individual who can excel in a very high paced work environment under intense pressure. Spanish speaking skills helpful but not required.

We have a worldwide elite membership, which expects the ultimate in course conditioning. This is an excellent position for the individual who wishes to excel in the field of golf course management. It is truly a WORKING POSITION, no cell phone use on course.

POSITION AVAILABLE:                     SEASONAL/FULL TIME - Flexible, March-May 2015 start, position will run until November 30, 2015. Advancement to 2nd Assistant very likely for an exceedingly high performing individual.
