AREA believes that the future of Arboriculture and Urban Forestry research lies in the development of today’s students.
As such, AREA devotes an hour for student talks during AREA Educational Sessions at the ISA Annual International Conference.

Five students are selected, in a competitive process, to present their research findings. This provides the students an opportunity
to develop presentation skills as well as network with academics, professional researchers and many practitioners that attend the talks. In addition, these students receive a travel grant that helps defer the cost of attending the annual conference.

Students interested in applying for the AREA Student Travel Grant and speaking at the 2015 ISA Annual International Conference and Trade Show during the AREA sessions (Wednesday, August 12, 2015), should submit an abstract under the category "AREA students" at https://isa-arbor.currinda.com/event/1343.

After completing this step, please fill out an additional grant application<http://area.isa-arbor.com/resources/2015_AREA_TravelGrant_fillable_final.pdf> (along with a letter of support) and email to AREA at isa-arbor.com<mailto:AREA at isa-arbor.com> by Friday, February 13, 2015.
