Gene,

The position is still open and we would consider any resumes that your
students might forward to us. If there is any interest they should get them
to use as soon as possible so we can follow up with them. If you have any
particular format that the job posting needs to be in just let us know.

In greenhouse opportunities are welcome that you can send our way. Greg
Ellis covers the Tucson area and I will let him know. He has attended some
of your short courses in the past and hopefully will be able to make it in
March.

The industry certainly seems to be moving forward with a lot of interest in
the CEA market for growing area and growers.

Gene,

I hope all is going well with the beginning of a new year/semester.

 

I'm writing to see if you think any of your past students might have an
interest in an entry level position at Nexus. When we had our NGMA tour last
year I had an opportunity to meet some of your students. Their interest in
our industry could make them a good fit.

 

We are currently looking to fill a position in our customer service
department. Our thought is a person with an interest on the growing side of
the industry might make a nice addition to our inside customer service team.


The position would have a range of different duties. Some of those would be
working directly with customers on greenhouse projects that we have sold and
be in various stages of construction, working with vendors to procure
equipment, communicating with our salesmen, installers, customers from
project's start to finish. They would need normal computer software skills
(Word, Excel, etc.) along with good phone skills when speaking with our
customers. An interest in greenhouse construction and equipment would also
be a plus.

 

With that limited bit of info I wondered if you had some ideas of someone
that you might pass this along to or if you wanted to post the job opening
within your group to see if there is any interest. We are looking to fill
the job immediately so we would be looking for a recent graduate.

from our end. It may be a long shot from U of A to Colorado but you never
know where that first job may come from.
