The NGMA [National Greenhouse Manufacturers Association] will be meeting in
Tucson April 14 - 16, and will be on tour at the CEAC from 1:30 - 5:00pm on
April 15th.
See http://www.ngma.com/ for details about the organization.
They agreed to support a reception from 3:00 - 4:30pm in the CEA Classroom
[Roger/Campbell CEAC facility].
Students who may have interests in the Greenhouse service industry and also
in the Greenhouse production industry are invited to participate.
These companies do not necessarily hire growers, but their clients do, and
making personal references/relationship can be helpful. They do hire people
for sales and for project development.
Thus plant production students as well as engineering students and
agricultural production students in general might benefit from this event.
The reception will include food and drink, and time for networking in the
air-conditioned classroom. Plus it will offer time for individuals to
introduce themselves to the group, and to distribute their resume.
An RSVP will be required, primarily for the count for food and drink.
We believe in the importance of connecting students with the industry. This
event will potentially bring about 40 - 50 different member companies to the
campus.
