Consider enrolling in PLS330 - Plant Propagation, Production, and
Management, this Fall.

Lectures: Tuesday and Thursday 11:00am-12:15pm

Lab: Tuesday 1:00pm-3:50pm 

Description: This course covers comprehensive plant wholesale production
systems from propagation through operations to salable horticultural crops,
including trees, shrubs, succulents and herbaceous plants. 

You will learn:

.       Principal propagation techniques including seeds, cuttings, budding
and grafting. 

.       Sustainable cultural practices and environmental controls in
horticultural crop production and marketing.

.       Planning, resource allocation and development of a nursery growing
operation 

 Pre-requisite courses include: PLS240 - Plant Biology, and SWES200/201 -
Introductory Soils.

 

(All qualified students are welcome to enroll. This is a required course for
Sustainable Plant Systems majors with a sub-plan declared in Environmental
Horticulture and will not be offered again until 2015. If you've completed
