Dear all, 

Smithsonian Gardens invites applications for research fellowships in the
field of horticulture. The Enid A. Haupt Fellowship in Horticulture is full
time, in-residence, and available for up to 6 months or 12 months,
contingent upon available funding. 


Proposals may address, but are certainly not limited to, the following
topics: the cultural significance of public gardens in urban society; the
environmental effects of urban settings on horticultural endeavors; art in
the garden; vernacular gardens; regional garden types; the business of
horticulture or floriculture; historic garden trends and design features;
historic garden preservation; and public garden administration. More

Applications for the Enid A. Fellowship should be received no later than May
15, 2013.    

To apply, applicants must register and submit an application online at
Smithsonian On-line Academic Application System (SOLAA) at
https://solaa.si.edu.  

 

On SOLAA, you can locate Smithsonian Gardens' internship application under
the Office/Museum/ Research Center: OFFICE OF FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND
OPERATIONS 

 

Next, under "Program that you wish to apply for:" select "Horticulture
Services Division, Enid A. Haupt Fellowship in Horticulture."
