I have been funded for two externs in Graham County.  The funding is through
the Green Fund provided to the Environment and Sustainability Team.  This
funding provides for 400 hours per position with a little operation dollars.
The students will need to provide their our transportation and housing while
in Safford. 

 

I am trying to recruit two students for the positions.  I am sending this to
as many people as possible in hope of getting the word out and well
distributed. 

 

Student can chose from four work areas.  I have attached a filer that I hope
you could distribute to students.  There is also a short description of each
work area.  They can choose the one they are most experienced and suited to
here course of study.  

 

Last summer I had a student from the Center from Rural Health.  It was a
very success summer for both.  A lot was accomplished through the externship
and it  also served at the internship that was required for Bakbergen
Turibekov's  Master of Public Health Program.  I served as his onsite
preceptor.  

 

This year I believe the experience will be great for a variety of students
from different departments or disciplines such as  Entomology, Family
Consumer Health Science, Horticulture, Plant Science,  Controlled
Environment and Rural Health.

 

All the students need to do is email me and I will send and application.
