It is with a great deal of respect and gratitude that The Associated
Students of The University of Arizona announce the annual Dick Roberts
Memorial Scholarship. Mr. Roberts, or as the students used to refer to him
as “Uncle Dick,” was such a strong supportive member of our university
community and this scholarship is only a small way that the university
remembers Uncle Dick.



The scholarship is made available to all students attending The University
of Arizona, with the criteria for award based on ‘Exemplifying a total
campus experience.” Mr. Roberts was such a large student advocate who both
understood and celebrated the dynamic life of a student inside and out of
the classroom.



Applications will be available Tuesday, February 14, 2012 online at ASUA
homepage  <http://www.asua.arizona.edu> http://www.asua.arizona.edu



 The application requires an online application/essays, and to submit hard
copies of their unofficial transcript, resume, and two sealed letters of
recommendations to the ASUA office (Student Union Memorial Center, 325W).
All application materials, online application and subsequent attachments are
due by Monday, February 27, 2012 at 12 PM.



We will be offering the following scholarships:

● Two (2) $1,500.00 Scholarships awarded upon merit.

● Two (2) $1,500.00 Scholarships awarded upon financial need.

● One (1) $3,000.00 Scholarships awarded upon merit AND financial need.

● Scholarship, Leadership and Service at the University of Arizona will be
considered for each scholarship.

● Scholarships awarded are to be used for the academic year 2012-2013.





ASUA has officially begun accepting gifts to the Dick Roberts Memorial
Scholarship fund and would like to invite all members of the campus
community to contribute. Dick will forever be a part of our wildcat family
and this scholarship will forever remind the university community of the
wonderful man that cared so much about the students this university is here
to serve. Please inform students of this wonderful opportunity. If you have
