Dear Plant Sciences majors,

Networking, work experience and participation in professional organizations
are important to your success after graduation and the School of Plant
Science Faculty are ready to help you with this!

Although, many of you have worked with an academic advisor to coordinate
your class planning, you may have wondered where to go to

. discuss your career options

. find work on or off campus related to your studies

. connect with internship opportunities

. get involved with national professional organizations

For this reason, we have assigned you to work with a Faculty member from the
School of Plant Sciences who will be a new resource for you to help you
identify career paths, professional organizations, work or internship
opportunities etc. and to talk to when you need help. Please watch your
email in the coming weeks as your mentor will be contacting you shortly.
Please feel free to give feedback on how the faculty mentor program is
working for you.

This is a professional development program and a supplement to your academic
experience at the U of A.

I will continue to help you with all academic related issues.

I sincerely hope your faculty mentor will be a great support to your
academic and professional success at the UofA!

Best regards,

Tanya
