Hi Ciara,

This is Michele, I do not know if you remember me, I used to be a grad
student at the school of Plant Sciences a couple of years back (I am still
in the WhatsApp group lol).

After I graduated, I took a position as Data Scientist for CyVerse/Data
Science Institute <https://datascience.arizona.edu/> at the U of A.

The Data Science Institute runs the DataLab at the U, and I run the
Bioinformatics
workshop series
<https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Fua-datalab%2FBioinformatics%2Fwiki&data=05%7C02%7Cciarag%40email.arizona.edu%7Ccf4fcd0c3c8344d64c5808dcfd0f482f%7C5ee35505eb8e4929937d645df5013288%7C1%7C0%7C638663489270628174%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=eh%2BeUkCc99IZyoAYAPkiteFX55w561Gpfltvwda1NX4%3D&reserved=0>,
which ended last week.

However, there are 4 more workshops that are going to start next week (2 on
Nov 12th and 2 on Nov 19th) that I think may be of interest to the grad
students of the school of Plant Science.

I am reaching out to you because I've been told you are the current
Graduate Student Advisor/Coordinator and may be able to spread the
following announcement to the other grad students (or whoever may be
interested) — if this is not true, please let me know who to reach out to.

Here's the announcement:

In collaboration with the Wheeler and Vitali labs, the DataLab is proud to
present four advanced bioinformatics workshops covering key techniques in
genomics and transcriptomics. These workshops provide training in:

   - Identifying and annotating transposable elements;
   - Building genome-graphs for structural variation analysis;
   - Processing RNA-Seq data in R to identify differential gene expression;
   - Performing Gene Set Enrichment and Protein-Protein Interaction.

Each session offers practical applications and discussion on the latest
tools in bioinformatics research.
Connect online or join us at the Albert B. Weaver Science-Engineering
Library (Learning Studio, room 212 (Nov 12)) and the Main Library (Learning
Studio CATalyst (Nov 19)) for:
