Hello PLS Grads,

Voting is now open for selecting a PLS representative for the CALS Graduate Student Council. The CALS Graduate Student Council was established during the summer of 2020 for students to have a direct voice to the CALS Assistant Dean for Graduate Education and to provide input on tangible changes that could help all programs across the college. The time commitment for Council representatives is intended to be small (2 meetings/semester) and the responsibilities are listed below in case anyone has further questions. The college would like to close the vote and have representatives identified by 9/5, so they can start the onboarding process.



Responsibilities:

  *   Attend 1 out of the 2 CALS Graduate Council meetings each semester and voice the perspectives and experiences of your program on the agenda items
  *   Host at least one meeting per year with the students in the representative constituent unit.
  *   Collaborate with Directors of Graduate Studies, Program Coordinators, Department Heads, graduate student organizations, and others within their constituent units to inform their constituents about CALS GSC activities and events
  *   Collaborate with CALS Assistant Dean for Graduate Education on college-wide initiatives as needed.
