Grad Slam is a campus-wide competition for the best 3-minute graduate student presentation of a research or creative project. It is an excellent opportunity for students to enhance their communication skills and is an effective way of showcasing to the UA community and the public the innovative research and creative work associated with graduate education at the UA. Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad (FH DDRA) Fellowship
Let us know today if you are interested in the FH DDRA. The purpose of the FH DDRA fellowship is to contribute to the development and improvement of the study of modern foreign languages and area studies in the U.S. by supporting full-time dissertation research abroad. Research projects must focus on one or more of the following geographic areas:  Africa, East Asia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, South Asia, the Near East, Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia, and the Western Hemisphere. Research in Western Europe and the U.S. and its territories is not supported by this grant.

Arizona Space Grant Graduate Fellowship
The UA/NASA Space Grant Program and nominating departments provide six graduate fellowships per year to exceptional graduate students interested in promoting the understanding of space-related research to the public and who are studying space sciences/engineering, public policy, earth sciences, science education, or global change-related fields. Space Grant fellows are required to complete an educational outreach project as part of their fellowship. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Socio-Environmental Synthesis Research
The National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC) in partnership with the Ecological Society of America's Strategies for Ecology Education, Diversity and Sustainability (SEEDS) program invites PhD students from a wide range of under-represented experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds to attend an interactive, skill-building workshop on team-based, socio-environmental (S-E) synthesis. S-E synthesis accelerates knowledge production and solutions to pressing S-E problems by integrating diverse disciplines, data, ideas, methods, theories, and priorities from across the social, natural, and computational sciences. Applicants should be currently enrolled first or second-year PhD students (third- and fourth-year students will be considered on a case-by-case basis and should reach out to SESYNC staff before applying). Students from any discipline relevant to S-E research are encouraged to apply, but selected attendees will demonstrate strong interests in bridging scholarly disciplines and conducting data-driven, use-inspired synthesis research.

Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities National Internship Program (HNIP)

The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation awards grants of up to $2,200 each in support of research in the holdings of the Gerald R. Ford Library. The SSA's ARDRAW Small Grant Program is a one-year $10,000 stipend program awarded to graduate-level students to conduct supervised independent research designed to foster new analysis of work, rehabilitation, and disability issues, which may develop innovative and fresh perspectives on disability. This fellowship was created by AFS in 2007 to honor the memory of Steven Berkeley, a dedicated fisheries scientist with a passionate interest in integrating the fields of marine ecology, conservation biology, and fisheries science to improve fisheries management.  Berkeley was a long-time member of AFS and a member of the first Board of Directors of the Fisheries Conservation Foundation. Intelligence Community Postdoctoral Research Fellowships
The program was established to fund unclassified, basic research in areas of interest to the Intelligence Community, from behavior and language to energy and atmosphere. The program annually funds several Postdoctoral Fellows representing colleges, universities, and other research institutions throughout the United States. L'Oréal USA for Women in Science Postdoctoral Fellowship
The fellowship program honors female scientists at a critical stage in their careers. Since 2003, we've awarded 70 postdoctoral women scientists over $4 million in grants. We're seeking five exceptional female scientists looking to advance their research and serve as role models for the next generation of girls in STEM. Candidates must have completed their PhD and have started in their postdoctoral research position by the application deadline.

National Academies Research Associateship Program
The mission of the NRC Research Associateship Programs (RAP) is to promote excellence in scientific and technological research conducted by the U. S. government through the administration of programs offering graduate, postdoctoral, and senior level research opportunities at sponsoring federal laboratories and affiliated institutions. In these programs, prospective applicants select a research project or projects from among the large group of opportunities listed on this website.  Prior to completing an application, prospective applicants should contact the proposed Research Adviser to assure that funding will be available if their application is recommended by NRC panels. Once mutual interest is established between a prospective applicant and a Research Adviser, an application is submitted through the NRC WebRap system.

Deadline: Reviews are conducted four times each year and review results are available approximately 6-8 weeks following the application deadline.

Wellcome Trust International Training Fellowship
This scheme provides researchers from low- and middle-income countries - who are at an early stage in the establishment of their research careers - with opportunities for research experience and high-quality research training in public health and tropical medicine. Research projects should be aimed at understanding and controlling diseases (either human or animal) of relevance to local, national or global health. This can include laboratory-based molecular analysis of field or clinical samples, but projects focused solely on studies in vitro or using animal models will not normally be considered under this scheme. This fellowship is part of a series of career awards aimed at building sustainable capacity in areas of research that have the potential for increasing health benefits for people and their livestock in low- and middle-income countries.
