The Graduate Center<gradcenter.arizona.edu>, Postdoctoral Affairs<postdoc.arizona.edu>, and UA Corporate Engagement Services<https://corporate.arizona.edu/> are excited to announce our upcoming workshops for graduate students and postdocs, "Innovation Impact: Talking Business for Researchers" on October 14, "Understanding Job Market Documents for Outside Academia: What, When, and Why" on November 1, and "CV, Resume, and Cover Letter Tips: Employers Panel" on November 15. The workshops are free. In-person seats are limited to 40 participants; however, we will also have an option for people to attend remotely through Zoom. Registration is required. Oct. 14, 12 PM to 1:30 PM - Innovation Impact: Talking Business for Researchers

Description: As a researcher, you know that your work matters, but have you thought about how it could create impact beyond the lab or classroom? Have you thought about becoming an entrepreneur? This seminar will provide a Roadmap that contains the elements required to put innovation to work. Whether you plan to create your own business, work as a part-time consultant, or just simply be more business savvy, this seminar will boost your knowledge of core business elements that often are at play in bringing innovative ideas and research to market as new products and services.

Nov. 1, 12 PM to 1 PM - Understanding Job Market Documents for Outside Academia: What, When, and Why

Description: Going on the job market can be a daunting task. The workshop will provide an overview of job market documents often used for applying to positions outside of academia, such as nonprofits, government, and business. Attendees will learn how their academic job market documents can be translated to other employers and vice versa.
