Dear Grads,

Students who are serving as TAs for Spring 2018: As we discussed at the last lunch, the Grad College is encouraging all units to perform standardized TA Evaluations, and we are implementing their system this spring.

The goals for this activity are for you (1) to self-assess -- identify areas where you are performing particularly well and areas where you would like to improve, and (2) to receive feedback from your course's faculty instructor (not your advisor) -- teaching is an important skill, nobody is born knowing how to do it, and this is an opportunity to learn!

Attached is a "TA Conversation" form. Please complete your portion, share it with your faculty instructor, and meet to discuss. Add your last name to the file name, and send signed forms to Georgina prior to the end of classes, by May 2.

Students who are serving as RAs: don't worry, we will have a similar system in place for you too! Stay tuned.
