National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP) Information Sessions
The purpose of the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) is to help ensure the vitality and diversity of the scientific and engineering workforce in the United States. American Indian Graduate Center Fellowships
The AIGC Fellowship program provides approximately $1,200,000 in fellowships to over 400 American Indian and Alaska Native graduate and professional students each year.  Graduate fellowships are monetary awards made to American Indian and Alaska Native graduate or professional full-time, degree-seeking students, who meet all eligibility criteria.  The fellowship amount is typically between $1000 and $5000 per academic year (not including summer), and varies from year to year, depending on the number of qualified applicants, the availability of funds and unmet financial need.
Citizenship: enrolled member of a federally recognized American Indian or Alaska Native group, or provide documentation of descent (possess one-fourth degree verifiable federally recognized Indian blood) as verified through submission of a Tribal Eligibility Certificate

DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Short Term Research Grants
Short-Term Research Grants are awarded for 1-6 months to highly qualified candidates who have completed a Master’s degree or Diploma, or in exceptional cases a Bachelor’s degree at the latest by the time they begin their grant supported research, or those who have already completed a PhD (postdocs). DAAD will cover health insurance and provide a flat rate subsidy for travel costs. In addition, limited funds are available for a rent subsidy and family allowance.
Citizenship: US or Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Foreign nationals who live in the USA or in Canada must have been living in the US/Canada for a minimum of one year and have their current residence in the US/Canada by the time of the application deadline.

Data Incubator Fellowship in Data Science
The Data Incubator is an intensive 8 week fellowship that prepares masters students, PhDs, and postdocs in STEM and social science fields seeking industry careers as data scientists. The program is free for Fellows and supported by sponsorships from hundreds of employers across multiple industries. In response to the overwhelming interest in our earlier sessions, we will be holding another fellowship. Anyone who has already obtained a masters or PhD degree or who is within one year of graduating with a masters or PhD is welcome to apply.

Fulbright-Schuman Program in Policy and Technology
The Fulbright-Schuman Program, administered by the Commission for Educational Exchange between the United States and Belgium, is jointly financed by the U.S. State Department and the Directorate-General for Education and Culture of the European Commission. German Federal Environmental Foundation/ Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU) – Doctoral Scholarship Program
The DBU grants dissertation fellowships each year, for individuals in all disciplines, for advanced research work in the field of environmental protection. The work has to be done mainly in Germany, with a clear reference to the German environmental situation. The chosen topic is expected to be of high relevance and should contribute to solving problems in environmental and conservation efforts. Generally, all environmental issues are welcome who meet the above-mentioned criteria, i.e. in addition to the natural sciences and engineering, also applications from the social sciences, humanities, economics and law. Interdisciplinary topics that support a sustainable development, are especially welcome. The complexity of environmental problems requires interdisciplinary collaboration between different scientific disciplines. Therefore, DBU would like to support individuals with its scholarship programme with as many different environmental issues and in various fields. 60 fellowships are awarded each year. Projects are expected to be completed in a period of up to three years. An individual may not yet have started the doctoral thesis. DBU expects good skills of German from foreign applicants to allow their integration into the DBU scholars' network.

International Foundation for Ethical (non-animal) Research Fellowship Program
The purpose of IFER’s Fellowship Program is to provide financial incentives to graduate students in science that encourage them at the earliest stages of their career to integrate innovation and discovery with ethics and respect for animals. Fellowships are awarded to those candidates whose program of study shows the greatest potential to replace the use of animals in science. Graduate Fellowships to develop alternatives to the use of animals in research, testing and education are open to students enrolled in Master’s and Ph.D. programs in the sciences, and human or veterinary medicine. Fellowships will also be considered for graduate students in other fields, such as education, psychology, humanities, journalism, and the law, for projects that show promise to increase public awareness or to promote changes in the legal system or public policy regarding the use of animals in research, testing, and education.

Korean American Scholarship Foundation
The Korean American Scholarship Foundation (KASF) is a non-profit, volunteer-managed organization established to help meet the financial needs of Korean-American students seeking higher education. KASF scholarships (which range from $500 to $5,000) are offered to the qualified Korea American students (including foreign students from Korea). All applicants must be enrolled in a full time program in the U.S during the scholarship application year. If extra funds are available, other students (non Koreans) may qualify for scholarships. Specifically, descendants of American veterans served during the Korean War may qualify for scholarships (applicable to selective regions)

Organization of American States – Rowe Fund Interest Free Loans
The Rowe Fund is an educational loan program of the Organization of American States (OAS) that helps citizens from Latin America and Caribbean OAS Member States finance their studies or research in accredited universities across the United States by awarding interest-free loans of up to $15,000 dollars. By financing a portion of their studies in the United States, the Rowe Fund helps students complete their education while at the same time fostering cultural diversity, friendship, and communication among the people of the Americas.

Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences - Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting
The Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting is an international screenwriting competition established to identify and encourage talented new screenwriters. Entry scripts must be the original work of one writer, or of two writers who collaborated equally, and must be written originally in English. Adaptations and translated scripts are not eligible. Up to five $35,000 fellowships are awarded each year to promising new screenwriters. Screenwriters who have not earned more than $25,000 writing fictional work for film or television are eligible to apply.

Arts Learning Grants – Arizona Commission on the Arts
Arts Learning Collaboration Grants enhance the work of arts educators, classroom teachers and school-based arts programs through collaborative projects taking place in-school (during regular school hours), after-school, or during summer/inter-session and in-services. Collaborative projects can take a variety of forms but must be submitted in one of the following categories:

Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts – 2019 Artist-In-Residence
Applications for its Artist-in-Residence Programs are currently being accepted. Selected applicants enjoy generously sized, private live/work studios located in downtown Omaha’s historic Old Market. The Bemis Center of Contemporary Arts accommodates a broad range of artistic activity. Residencies will take place from September 19 through November 16, 2018. Residents receive a $1,000 monthly stipend to help with materials, supplies, and living expenses while in residency. An unrestricted $500 travel stipend is also provided.

Boston Athenæum Short-Term Fellowships
The Boston Athenæum offers short-term fellowships to support the use of Athenæum collections for research, publication, curriculum and program development, or other creative projects. Each fellowship pays a stipend for a residency of twenty days (four weeks) and includes a year’s membership to the Boston Athenæum. Scholars, graduate students, independent scholars, teaching faculty, and professionals in the humanities as well as teachers and librarians in secondary public, private, and parochial schools are eligible.

Coalition for Western Women’s History Prize for Ph.D. Research
The $1,000 prize supports travel to collections or other research expenses related to the histories of women and gender in the American West. Applicants must be enrolled in a Ph.D. program and be members of the Coalition of Western Women’s History (CWWH) at the time of application. The prize honors the memory of Irene Ledesma, whose contributions to Chicana and working-class history were ended by her untimely death in 1997.

Family Strengthening Scholars
The Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation (OPRE), will solicit applications for Family Strengthening Scholars grants to support dissertation research on healthy marriage/responsible fatherhood policy issues.  These grants are meant to build capacity in the research field to focus on questions that have direct implications for healthy marriage/responsible fatherhood policy decision-making and program administration, and to foster mentoring relationships between faculty members and high-quality doctoral students. These grants are intended to address issues of significance to inform policy decisions and solutions, particularly for underserved/understudied populations (e.g., low-income families, minority populations), utilize rigorous research methodology (including primary data collection and/or secondary data analysis), and help inform the development of future intervention research.

Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowships
Five Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowships in the amount of $25,800 each will be awarded to young poets in the U.S. through a national competition sponsored by the Poetry Foundation, publisher of Poetry magazine. University of Strathclyde Educational Attainment Postdoctoral Position
The School of Education at the University of Strathclyde is seeking to appoint an outstanding and highly motivated  full-time Research Associate on a fixed term basis  from September 2018 until 28 February 2020, to contribute to the innovative and cutting-edge ESRC funded ‘Social inequalities in educational attainment: an investigation into the mediating role of school absenteeism’ project. This secondary data analysis project will draw on the rich Scottish Longitudinal Study to investigate whether different forms of school absenteeism such as truancy contribute to explaining social inequalities in educational attainment and post school destinations.  It will further explore whether family background moderates the relationship between school absenteeism, educational attainment and post-school destinations.
