Dear PLS grads,
The office of Career and Academic Services in the College of Agriculture
and Life Sciences is happy to announce the fourth annual Graduate
Teaching Assistant (GTA) workshop facilitated by the Bart Cardon Fellows
for Teaching Excellence. This Workshop will emphasize teaching as a
scholarly pursuit, and will help graduate students understand how these
principals may help them in all aspects of their career. CALS and the
Cardon Fellows invite especially first time GTA's, but also those who
have TA'd before or who are interested in TAing in the future, for a
training on August 25th from 11am-2pm in McClelland Park room 101. Lunch
will be provided and space is limited to 30 seats.
Teaching is not self-explanatory! Also, awards ore offered each year for
the best TAs in the College. Therefore, please consider signing up for
this training opportunity by emailing me (mcmahonm at email.arizona.edu).
There is a limit on the number of participants, so email me right away
(or, by Th Aug 17 at the latest).
