I am seeking an outstanding, motivated candidate to work as a Research Assistant on a temporal basis in a transgenic wheat project at CIMMYT, Mexico. The position offers an opportunity for acquiring technical and research knowledge related to transgenics wheat research. The successful candidate should have Bachelors or Masters in Crop science/Crop physiology, good communication in Spanish and English, and have good skills in experimental design, validation and statistical analysis. This position is based at CIMMYT Headquarters located in Texcoco, Mexico. Specific duties but not limited to:
·      Actively participate and undertake ongoing research activities related to transgenic wheat project funded by IWYP,
 ·      Conduct and coordinate research activities in glasshouse and field conditions and generate experimental data on physiological and yield related traits
 ·      Data analysis, preparation of project reports, and contribute to dissemination of relevant research outputs through publication of scientific papers
 ·      Any other duties appropriate to the project.
