The Institute of the Environment (IE) is seeking a part-time (20 hours/week) graduate research assistant (GRA) for the Spring 2016 semester to assist with the coordination and implementation of the University’s Arts and Environment Network and provide support to the Institute’s communications team through writing, editing, and proofreading.

The successful applicant will work 10 hours per week with the Institute of the Environment’s editor and communications manager to write polished news features that help expand the public’s awareness of environmental research and other related endeavors at the UA; help update news and events posted to websites IE maintains (Drupal training is provided); help compile and proofread IE’s weekly newsletter, and assist in marketing IE.

In addition, the successful applicant will work 10 hours per week with the director of the Arts and Environment Network (AEN) to help coordinate, implement, and write about AEN activities. The work will include making connections in and between the arts and environmental sciences communities in Tucson and at the University of Arizona.
