[Plsgs] Seminar speakers for 2014-15 series

Hello,

I hope you are having a nice morning!

As many of you know, each semester the graduate students work together to
select one seminar speaker for our plant sciences series. I'm writing to
invite you to participate in nominating speakers for this years series.
Attached please find our existing list of runner-ups from past semesters.

With this list, I would like to ask you to help me with two things:

1) For those who originally suggested the speakers currently listed, please
let me know if you would  like your nominees to remain on the list. I will
remove any currently listed speakers otherwise, to shorten the list to a
reasonable number.

2) For all, please let me know of any other potential speakers that you
would like to nominate. For each, please include a brief research
description and a few suggested papers related to their work (see the
current list as an example).

I will close nominations this upcoming Thursday August 28th, so please take
the time to add speakers if you are interested. At that point I will send
out the completed list with background information for each speaker, and a
doodle poll with which we can cast our votes.

Thank you for your assistance with this process; as always, it is an
excellent opportunity to extend the already outstanding list of speakers to
include research that is of particular interest to us grad students, as
well as to meet and spend time with other professionals in our and related
fields.

know if you have any questions or concerns.
