3rd Annual DuPont Pioneer Cornell Plant Breeding Symposium

Breeding Innovations & Policy:  Considering Diverse Stakeholders

As plant breeders, we are charged with the task of addressing challenges unique to our time.  Intellectual property laws and increasing crop diversity are two issues our community is currently facing.   Further confounding this undertaking, these challenges are not global but instead vary depending on the subset of the population in question.  In order to adequately address these matters, new breeding innovations and corresponding policies must be implemented.  This symposium will attempt to begin to address the complexity of the task at hand by bringing experts in these different fields together.
