[Plsfaculty] Course schedules for Spring 2026 - action required

Dear SPLS faculty,

The university is currently in 'open scheduling' for Spring 2026 courses, meaning that this is the time to make sure that your Spring 2026 course(s) are scheduled correctly before centrally-scheduled classrooms are assigned and before it becomes harder and takes longer to make changes to the schedule. This is especially important for courses that are only offered every other year. We also will not have course scheduling support for most of June, so I would like to get as much of this done in the next week.

Please do the following:

  1.  Go to https://uaccess.arizona.edu/
  2.  Click on "Instructor Center"
  3.  Click on "Change Term" and select Spring 2026
  4.  Carefully look over your list of courses
  5.  Send an email to orchard at arizona.edu<mailto:orchard at arizona.edu> (do not reply to this mailing list) with any changes you need made to the schedule, such as...
     *   cancelling a course
     *   adding a course - provide name, days, times, session (full semester? 7 week?), campus (main, distance, AZ Online...), enrollment cap, and room type (centrally- or departmentally-scheduled)
     *   changing the days/time of a course
     *   changing the enrollment cap (to see the enrollment cap, click on the course name in the "Class" column)
  6.  If your "Room" says "Room To Be Announced", that means that it needs to be booked by SPLS or ACBS (for microbiology labs). In that case, send an email to orchard at arizona.edu<mailto:orchard at arizona.edu> (do not reply to this mailing list) indicating what room you have booked (e.g., for lab meetings/journal clubs), or which room you would like to have booked for you [Ravi and Mark, you do not need to re-send this information for PLS 361 and PLS 392, since we have already emailed about it; Xiong, I'm also working on confirming that we still have Marley 230 booked for seminar.]
