Dear colleagues,

I hope everyone is doing well as this busy week concludes.

With this note I am writing to share the wonderful news that Dr. Sarah Hind has accepted our offer to join us as an Assistant Professor of Practice in Biotechnology and Plant and Microbial Sciences in the School of Plant Sciences. We are delighted to recruit such an outstanding instructor and scientist to our outstanding faculty. Dr. Hind will join us this summer and will begin teaching in fall 2025.

I thank our search committee (Samantha Orchard, Chair; Mark Beilstein, Shelley McMahon, and Ellen Bledsoe) for their exemplary work, and I  extend my sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to the interview process.
