Hi Julie, David, Murat, Scotty, Laura, Kate, and Ken,

We invite you to a Get-To-Know and Q&A Session with the Leaders of the Arizona Experiment Station (AES). You are invited because of your new roles as leaders of academic units in the College of Agriculture, Life, and Environmental Sciences (CALES) and the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM).

Our goals for this Session are to increase awareness of the AES facilities and services available for you and your faculty, increase our awareness of your needs and future plans, and to develop good relations between AES, CALES and CVM.

The Session will include short, 5 minute presentations by the Leaders of the 10 AES Units (https://experimentstation.arizona.edu/) describing their location, facilities, opportunities for research, extension, and instruction. We will also give an overview of our mission, organizational structure, and procedures for requesting and paying for services. The majority of the time will be set aside for Q&A discussions.

We hope you can attend, and we invite you to bring 1-2 of your faculty who might be new or interested in learning more about opportunities for working with AES.

The Session will occur during our AES Annual Meeting in Tucson in early November. Specifically, we have two options for days/times for the Session. Our preferred option is 2-4 pm on Wednesday November 8, 2023, because it is at the beginning of our 2-day meeting and we would invite you to dinner that evening. Our second option is 10-12 am on Thursday November 9, 2023, and this is less preferred because we adjourn our meeting that afternoon.

The meeting place is the Windmill Inn, in St Phillips Plaza (Campbell and River; https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/tussphw-homewood-suites-tucson-st-philips-plaza-university/), and dinner is across the parking lot at La Reforma (https://www.reformatucson.com/).

Please reply by noting your availability and preference for these two options.
Please send your response by August 1, 2023, so that we can secure plans soon after.
