[Plsfaculty] Hiring Waiver Process to Continue

Hello All Supervisors:

I wanted to make sure you all saw the email from Human Resources (below) indicating that the current Hiring Hold is extended until end of the Fiscal Year (June 30, 2021). For any type of hiring, FTE change, non-merit wage increases, etc., will continue to need waiver approval. If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Dear HR Alliance Colleagues,
For the past several months, the University has had a hiring slowdown in place to help mitigate the financial impact to of COVID-19. This hiring slowdown was originally determined to last until July 31, 2020; however, it has been extended until June 30, 2021. Please share this information with colleagues in your college/division.
If you currently have a requisition open that has not received an approved waiver, we will move your requisition to an on-hold status. Requisitions placed in an on-hold status can be easily reopened upon receipt of an approved waiver. If you don’t expect to move forward with the recruitment, we ask that you move the status to closed or cancelled and notify the applicants.
As a reminder, all waiver requests will continue to be made through Adobe Sign for ease of routing and tracking.

  1.  Access the updated Adobe Sign waiver forms at the top of the Recruitment webpage<https://arizona.us9.list-manage.com/track/click?u=0aeb616343625dbd0d696bf1f&id=4b270a31da&e=07604643a9>.

  2.  Select the waiver form corresponding to the position’s funding structure:
     *   Fully grant-funded position waiver
     *   Partially grant-funded position waiver
     *   Non grant-funded position waiver

  3.  You may enter multiple position requests on a single waiver form, if needed.
Remember that all hiring waivers must still meet Recruitment and Compensation Administration Guidelines.
