Subject: [unitheads-cals] Downloading Student Course Evaluations


Good morning, several days ago most of you received information about manually downloading student course surveys.



This system appears to be working well, except for one glitch - some faculty have found an "over-reporting" - meaning that they (for example) taught a class with 15 students last fall and they find responses from 45 students upon downloading.



Yesterday, I informed the Instructional Data team at OIA. They are aware of the glitch and sent me this response:



This error occurs in combined courses only. Analytics is aware of the issue and I believe they have a solution. Once it is in place, the Analytics reports will be correct.



I will let you know as soon as the corrected reports are available. In the meantime, if any of your faculty are affected by this, please ask them to attach what they download (the erroneous data) for now. They can replace this with the corrected data at a later date.
