Subject: SPLS Updates
Dear SPLS Faculty,
Below are the School of Plant Sciences updates. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments regarding any items below. I will be happy to provide or help seek out more information.
Updates:
Congrats to our Outstanding SPLS Seniors!!!
* Please join me in congratulating undergraduate student Ryan Valdez as the Outstanding Senior in Plant Science for Spring 2019. Ryan Valdez is one of those exceptional students who you only come across occasionally. Ryan completed two majors in Plant Sciences and Literacy, Learning, and Leadership, participated in multiple leadership opportunities, and completed two honors theses all while maintaining a high GPA. He will be pursuing a PhD in the Plant and Microbial Biosciences program at Washington University in St. Louis where he will be able to engage with what he calls his two passions: "the building of knowledge and its dissemination".
* Please join me in congratulating undergraduate student Christian Galindo as the Outstanding Senior for the Sustainable Plant Systems BS degree for Spring 2019.
Much appreciation to Bill McCloskey for his work to promote the expanding Arizona Wine Growers Industry!
