[Plsfaculty] ineligibility for merit increase

Hello again-

I would like to apologize for all the emails, I have had a few questions/concerns and received some more clarification. I want to explain that this is a one-time merit increase. Those who are eligible based on all the standards, listed below, will receive one lump sum of $1000 on the January 18th paycheck. It is not a wage increase, so different then what we have done in the past. I was confused by this and figured others would be as well:).

Please send me those who are ineligible to receive this merit payment by Wednesday, December 12th. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

Hello All-

I realized I left out an important bit of information. Those who were hired on a Fiscal contract after July 1st, 2018 and those on an Academic contract hired after August 8th,  2018 are automatically ineligible for the merit increase. If you need a list of your employees please let me know, I can also put the hire date if you would like.

Hello-

We have received the final instructions for the merit increase appearing in the January 18, 2019 paycheck. All faculty, appointed and classified staff, post docs and GA's with an FTE greater than 0.25 who meet merit standards are eligible. Your involvement is required only to opt an employee out of the program due to ineligibility. The CALS guideline for ineligibility is:

Employees MUST be opted out if they DO NOT meet the merit standard for eligibility:

*         Ineligible: employees with a documented performance concern, such as but not limited to, performance improvement program, progressive discipline, received an unsatisfactory rating on his/her 2018 performance appraisal, or is being discharged or non-renewed for cause or documented performance reasons.

Please let me know who on your staff would be "ineligible" and the reason for the ineligibility by Wednesday, December 12th. Remember these must be documented performance concerns. I am aware of a few cases, however want to make sure we are all on the same page. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
