Subject: 2015 ABBS Student Recruitment
Dear ABBS Faculty,
The Arizona Biological and Biomedical Sciences Program (ABBS) integrates recruiting and admissions for the following graduate PhD programs: Biochemistry and Molecular & Cellular Biology, Cancer Biology, Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Genetics, Immunobiology, Medical Pharmacology, Physiological Sciences, and The School of Plant Sciences.
The ABBS application review committee is in the process of reviewing 120 domestic applications for fall 2015 admission. By the end of next week, we plan to have a list of approximately 60 students to invite to campus for an interview. The application pool appears to be very competitive and we are eager to meet these prospective students.
Since you are a faculty member in a participating ABBS graduate program, it is possible that one or more of the visiting students will request to meet with you while they are here to discuss your research. This is a crucial piece of our student recruitment and your cooperation and flexibility with this process is greatly appreciated. To assist with scheduling, please provide your availability to meet with visiting students on January 23 and February 6 at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/C6DLDM5. If you indicate you are available for any of the times listed, please HOLD these times on your calendar until I can confirm your appointments. A sample of the recruitment visit itinerary is attached to this message.
Please complete the survey by December 28. If your availability changes after you've completed the survey, please update me via email.
Thank you in advance and please let me know if you have any questions.
Regards,
Denise Slay
