Dear Colleagues:
During this semester (Fall 2013), the School of Plant Sciences will again hold a Faculty Research Forum. We have a great lineup:
Monday, October 21: Chieri Kubota.
Monday, November 4: Mark Beilstein.
Monday, December 2: Dennis Ray.
Monday, February 3: Ravi Palanivelu.
Monday, March 3: David Galbraith.
Monday, April 7: Barry Pryor.
Monday, May 5: Eliot Herman.

The forum provides a venue for research discussions among faculty in the School of Plant Sciences. Those that presented last year found the forum beneficial for both developing proposals and vetting research directions.
Each meeting of the SPS Faculty Research Forum lasts 1 hour. The presenting faculty member presents a research interest, goal, result, theory and/or observation. Questions during presentations are encouraged. Open discussion throughout is also encouraged.
The Faculty Research Forum will be held on a continuing basis (we took the summer off) in the same time slot as SPS Faculty Meetings but during a different week (this semester it is 11 AM till Noon -- see the actual dates above).
Please put these dates on your calendar and plan to attend. We will all benefit from the broadest possible participation.
Chieri Kubota will lead the first SPS Faculty Research Forum of the semester on October 21st.
We look forward to seeing you all there.
