[Plsfaculty] Dean's request: Attributes for School Director

Dear colleagues,

When we met with Dean Burgess last month, he asked us to prepare a list of
attributes that we would like to see in our future School Director. At that
time, he suggested that we should compile the list and share it when we
were ready. At this time, he has indicated that he would like to see our
list sooner than later.

In the faculty survey, many respondents indicated the sorts of attributes
they would like to see in a Director. I have pulled those responses and
they are appended here. I've formatted them slightly and corrected 1-2
typos, but otherwise have followed the specific request from Dean Burgess
(e.g., I have not removed repetition, and have not synthesized or
summarized the list).

I would like to send our list to Dean Burgess on Monday, and thus am
writing to ask for further contributions. Please respond to me by email (
arnold at ag.arizona.edu) by 10am on Monday. I will finalize the list at that
time, share it with our faculty, and send it to the Dean to fulfill his
original and more recent request.
