Hello UPAC, 

 

Did you know that the University of Illinois, Chicago (UIC) is the largest
research university in Chicago offering over 80 master and 60 PhD programs:
http://www.uic.edu/gcat/GPDP?  UIC offers competitive graduate funding at
both the doctoral and master level of study. Mr. Francisco Pina, the
graduate recruiter, is very interested in meeting Wildcats – especially
juniors and seniors with an interest in graduate school. Sophomores and
juniors might be interested in UIC’s 9 ½ week summer research program (SROP)
that’s designed to prepare participants for graduate study. 

 

Benefits of the SROP include:

ü  one-on-one research experience with a UIC faculty member

ü  travel expenses to-and-from Chicago, 

ü  housing and meal plan

ü  a stipend of $3,750  

 

The talk will cover the graduate admissions process, graduate funding
opportunities, and paid summer research experiences.  I appreciate your
getting the word out on UIC’s campus visit. Thank you for your support!
