Specialty Crop Block Grant Program – Farm Bill

 

The 2012 Specialty Crop Block Grant Program – Farm Bill manual is now available and applications are now being accepted. To view the manual, please go to:http://www.azda.gov/Main/grantfunds.htm

 

This year’s grant application deadline is Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 5:00 PM.

 

The purpose of this program is solely to enhance the competitiveness of specialty crops in Arizona.

 

The Arizona Department of Agriculture anticipates that these grant monies will be available to succe ssful applicants by late 2012. Although USDA-AMS has not officially released SCBGP‐FB funds to the states, ADA projects that approximately $1,000,000 will eventually be available to be distributed in the fiscal year 2012 funding cycle.
